||One of the gratest attractions of Iceland and the Vestmann Islands are the puffins. Members of one of the world's largest colony (about 6 million specimen) can be found here. Their social behaviour is even more interesting than their funny look. In the breeding season the male arrives first to clean up the nests (yes nests, since they use two separate holes for hatching and, well, getting rid of the used food :). The female arrives about two weeks later and moves into the shining residence. There is no equality in the world of birds either.
